Luke warm food is a cultural thing. many hotels are aware and provide a microwave to nuke your meal if needed. The other things are world wide issues. just be aware. it's a fab place...you'll love it.
when you're sat outside and you can see the food you've ordered being left on the side to cool down before it's brought to you, it's easy enough to just ask for it 'now, please'
Or just ask your waiting on person to bring hot when you order. In hotel, help yourself and microwave as necessary.
Alison most people on this forum go back year after year, surely that tells you what a fab place you are going to. there will always be folk who dont like the country but having been to jamica and heard people moan there it just makes you wonder. You go with an open mind and make as much fun as you want
luke warm food is an eastern european thing I have been to prague and budapest, my hubby worked in romania the same at all those as well, the only thing I would say is ask for your chicken well done they seem to serve it quiet pink not the way I like it anyway, but again a cultural thing, this will be my forth time in bulgaria as for the people I have never found them anything but helpful
I agree with the others here. I found the Bulgarians to be fantastic and most of the people in the resort are falling over themselves to help you. It's not that there is anything wrong with the food or service, they just normally serve that way. If you want food prepared differently just ask. In my experience they'll move the earth to bring you what you want.
Do remember to tip waiters and other service people. A 10% tip is expected even if the service is awful and you tip a bit more ...

last year I only had luke warm food once that was in the golden chicken Borovets (wasn't a problem)
If you stick with soups or pizza you shouldn't have a problem, or for something speacial try a sizzling platter from the crown mmmm wish I was going back.
