Welcome Darren and a happy New Year

You will find here a lot of information.
I'm not the insider for Pamporovo, but I'm sure Snowwhite and Pete will give you some ideas for your holiday

May I compliment you on a very good choice of destination hotels offer free bus services to the main Malina slope bus takes about 15 mins you could stay at the Castle apts but that's at students away from the resort centre. If you want ski lessons see Peter at the White Dog also ski hire and good for après ski before bus back

You need Snow White, Forest Nooky or Pamporovo Pete to chip in here and help you decide!

It's 7 or 8 years since I was in Pamporovo, and there's a lot of new hotels and apartments. We stayed at the Orlovetz Hotel and thought the location in the town was pretty good - easy walking distance to the shops, restaurants, etc. The ski bus stopped right outside which was convenient.

Have a look on tripadvisor for reviews/recommendations... http://www.tripadvisor.co ...

Orlovetz is our favourite too and the Gloria Mar our fav place for dinner really depends on budget and whether you want self catering or hotel. The hotel Perelik centre of resort year before last was all inclusive not sure if that's still the case.

Well - if you want to be right on the edge of the slopes at Malina 2
then I would suggest Half Board at the Markony. It is literally a stones
throw from the ski depot so no transfer bus required and ski storage is
included in your price. Food is really nice and you'll struggle to find a bigger
room to stay anywhere in Pamporovo. The view in the morning from your room
is stunning as it overlooks the nursery slopes and it's virtually ski in ski out accommodation.

The only downside ...

The only downside is that it's away from the village centre and you would need a taxi if you
wanted to head for the main evening nightlife. Approx. 10 levs each way. There are a few bars
within walking distance but these are quite low key. Markony is not available on this site but is
available with Balkan Holidays. You can also book all your extras through them as well.

Hi Darren
Staying in town, as the others have said, is great for evenings but does mean a bus journey to the slopes however the buses take just people and most leave their ski equipment down at the depot so you are not fighting with skis, poles etc on the bus. If you stay somewhere ski in - ski out then you would need to get a taxi if you wanted to go out into the town at all.

I have a vested interest so try not to self promote on here but if you want to email me I can price something ...

re:help needed please

Thank you everyone for your help. I defiantly want to be nearer the slopes than town, my main concern is if I pre book ski school and skis etc that I am near to these. Thanks again
