hotels in bansko

hi there!

This Easter we had a fantastic, great ski-holiday in Borovets! But next Easter we'll probably be heading for Bansko.
So far Thomas Cook Belgium offers only 3 hotels in Bansko: Pirin, Bansko and Strazhite. Which of the 3 is the best?
Strazhite is the nearest to the slopes I think. Bansko and Pirin are situated downtown and there's transport to the ski area with a shuttle?

Your advise and experience are more than welcome...... thx!!

Hej Tanjette,

Wij logeerden in het Samokov hotel in Borovets! Fijn hotel! Heb niks anders dan lof over Bulgarije als skibestemming. Prijs-kwaliteit dik in orde!!!
Kijk vol spanning uit naar de Bansko-freaks op het forum. En natuurlijk verlang ik al (stiekem) naar de Paasvakantie.......

greetz, gert

Hi

I was in Bansko in Feb this year and stayed at the Pirin. Very nice hotel and no complaints. There was a shuttle bus to and from the slopes every 20mins and it was about a 10 minute walk to the centre of the town. Hopefully we are going back next year and I quite fancy the Strazhite for its location. It is near the slopes and at the top end of the town. People who have stayed there seem to like it.

They still run a shuttle but you could walk it. Particularly coming back in the afternoon as it is downhill!!

I hope this helps. We loved Bansko.
