Hey guys how much lev does everyone generally take for a week in borovets? Also whats the price of gear like over there I could do with new snowboard boots n gloves

Hi Callum,As a veteran of Borovets I usually take £400 nice crisp £20 notes. Some years I come home with change (leva) so it goes in the travel wallet for next season. If you need extra there is a bank in town with a hole in the wall.

I have heard that gear tends to be a bit more expensive in the resort due to importing costs. Having seen the size of the shops in the resort you may also struggle for choice as well. I have bought in UK in prep for hol. Last year I spent about £300 for the week purely spending money. That was eating out every night and having quite a few drinks each night too. I would take English pounds and exchange in resort as I found the rates were better there than in the UK last year. Also you can ...

Only use the crown exchange booths though as I have heard that the others can try to rip you off.

in terms of equipment, I'm not sure where it has come from that it is more expensive - some things are but there are also lots of bargains to be had! 4 of the BB team, got amazing deals, as did other friends with both skis and snowboards. Just get some help and go the right places!
Lev is always better in BG than in the UK so change it here, If you are on a private transfer then ask your driver to stop in Samokov town-again the exchange rate there is better than Borovets. If not, ...

I always use the cash machines in Borovets, even with the small card charge from my bank i get a much better rate than the UK. I don't take cash with me to exchange because i'm worried about losing itre: how much LEV?

Well I got £200 changed already think of I need more il change on resort as for gear the only major issue is my gloves are falling apart but iv never found any quite like them. They are second hand bonfire mitts and as far as I know bonfire dont do gloves no more

I am usually half board and eat out 2-3 nights (mainly coz I cant be bothered to leave the bar....)
Lunch everyday
I drink a quite bit throughout the day/night
Dont usually spend more than £300

£300 sounds more than enough for a week.
