hi ,this will be my last post on here as i would never go back to borovets again.ok i have boarded in canada for the last 6 years so its a unfair to compare the two .the resort runs and lift system is set up wrong if you ski not to bad if you board you will do more walking than boarding.the snow 80cm ,where i never saw it,if there was the lifts would close so you couldnt get to it due to high winds.the food i wont even go there, more exotic bars than ski runs. every night you will end up with 20 flyers for the clubs to fill your pockets, beggers 8 year old girls 12oclock at night ,money for papa thats not good.if you go francos is the place to be in the evenings ,mira the best waitress you will get ,people said try borovets its good,i did and i hated every day of it.balken changed our chalet as they double booked it .they put us 1.5km out of the resort ,that cost us 40 lev a day in taxis.the airplane death shuttle airlines has no leg room and £800 of our snowboard stuff went missing then turned up in cardif not gatwick,if you go just dont expect to much and you could have a good time ,cheers ,jay.
Sorry to hear you had such a bad time. We got our holiday messed up too, so never even got to Borovets
We also ended up miles out of the resort, and after a lot of haggling our tour company agreed to reimburse all our taxis - that may be worth trying.
Hi Jay, sorry it was not your 'cup of tea'
but ey, you gave it a change... maybe wrong bookings at the wrong time??? Who knows but thanks for your report anyway!

Jay, gotta agree with the beggers.... complete pain, especially when you are walking with wounded friends. Just got back from Borovets on Sat PM, full report to follow....
people need to try it for themselves ,some people i know love it but they have only ever been there.its just not for me.if you are a begginer then give it a go its a cheap holiday dont just take my word for it .they get 1000s of happy skiers a year, not so many happy snowboarders. see ya ,jay
Just dont give the beggers sod all it aint hard and ive been to Borovets 4 times and am a fairly good skier and loved every second of it.
But everyone to their own i suppose....
