kids skiing

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help?
I'm visiting Pamporovo for the 2nd time on 7th January.
It's the first time my 9 year old son is skiing in a group. Does anyone know if the ski school/ instructors can arrange for you to meet up at lunch etc?

re: kids skiing

You can, but most of the kids will be having a ball with other kids their age and most mums and dads let them get on with it.

Your lessons will end each day at 3.30pm and you will be finishing where the kids learn, so why not meet up then.

Hi Pete,

Do they tend to put all the kids in a group together? Do the learn on the slope near the snow shack?
He's always been in the kindergarten before so have no idea!!

re: kids skiing

Can you post a report once you do get back please.
Although i've travelled to Pamps a few times, this will be the first time my partners ten year old daughter will be with us. Like you we're a little concerned about the lunchtimes. We're not in lessons so it should be easier for us to find her at lunchtimes for the first couple of days to check she is managing to order food etc and pay for it!

re: kids skiing

The kids are usually in groups of about 12 and all usually in the same area. This will change as the week goes on depending on their progress.

By Thursday you will probably see them over-taking you on the way down!!!!!

re: kids skiing

I've been in groups where a family have stayed together rather than let the kids go off on their own...

The family had fun, but then the other people in the group were dominated by that family (it's happened twice like that) so be fair to others, let the kids go to kids ski school and the adults, to adult ski school

re: kids skiing

As far as I am aware (please correct me if I'm wrong), but as our child is ten years old, we have no choice but to put her in with the adults for lessons.

Her father and I aren't in any lessons and are boarding anyway, so staying with her isn't an option.

She's used to spending time with adults and is very well behaved, so I don't see a problem from that point of view.
