last minute nerves

ok, not quite last minute, we are off in three weeks. but it is the first time skiing.

previously my list would have been
1. swimming shorts
2. sun glasses
3. lotion
4. passport
5. beer tokens

but now ... oh no. i'm bound to forget something i didnt even know i would need.

pamporova, finlandia hotel

i have found some UV400 lip balm that i was given. i guess that could come in handy.

i just hope i get the layers right when i go. my feet were freezing watching the plymouth albion rugby match this week. but i also know from running not to go out too wrapped up, cos you warm up once you get going.

re: last minute nerves

are you in ski school? you can end up standing around quiet a bit waiting for others to have there turn, but also its hard work to start with and you do work up a sweat, if you run do you have termal running tops? if so I would take them with you main reason they wick the sweat away from your body keeping you dry and stopping you getting too cold, best advice is layers down side if your a bigginer it is easier too ski without a backpack.

Newboy...
I usually get a lip balm and a facial sun cream from Asda before I go. It is a couple of quid and works very well. It is all in the same tube, the lip balm is at the top and the sun cream below. Saves carrying too many bottles round. It fits well in your pocket too.

Helbel - if you are unsure about the lifts, take your board off. I do. I would rather do that than land on my face trying to get off the lift

re: last minute nerves

i also wondered about the lifts. i have used the drag lifts at milton keynes quite a bit.

i guess it will all fall into place in the end, as i am bound to several times.

thanks for the advice, i have all my helly hansens ready to take. though there is plenty of london marathon training to be done before i go.
