M&S have just givn me 560 lev's for £200 so that's 2.82 to the pound - no commision.

M&S are great for Levs, I got mine there last year and they had the best exchange rate, they also have them in stock so you don't have to order them. Very Happy

Apart from a few Leva to tide you over for the first day or emergencies, you would be well-advised to take Sterling and exchange it in Bulgaria.

Current Bulgarian National Bank (equivalent to the Bank of England) rate £1 = 2.95599 Leva.

Bulgarian high street bank rate Raiffeisen Bank £1=2.930 Leva - no commission.

Better still, use Nationwide's Flex Account Debit Card and get ...

is the rate ur quoting not the commercial rate? i think the tourist rate at the bank counter is less
