Just checking my tickets, Thomson have actually put a weight on there ski/snowboard carriage of 15kg. So glad I haven't got the uncertainty this time. Very Happy

re: luggage allowance

You don't know who Thomson are?...... Where you been for the last 30 odd years?

Thomson, Crystal & First Choice are all the same when it comes to ski holidays.

re: luggage allowance

Just checked Crystal web site. it says 15kg ski allowance. Boots as part of hold luggage. So are they trying to say your ski boots are part of you 20kg check in allowance. Think I might send an e-mail and get them to clarify.

re: luggage allowance

Just looked at Crystal FAQ:

If you are flying with Thomson Airlines, boot bags will count towards your overall weight allowance and we recommend that boots are packed into your hold luggage to avoid any excess charges. Please note that boot bags are not included as part of ski carriage when you pre-book with Crystal and fly with Thomson Airlines.

re: luggage allowance

I went to pick up my tickets at first choice a few days back and i asked this question 2. The lady rang someone, i dont know who but apparently they had said that i can put my snowboard boots inside my board bag as this is still part of my boarding equipme aslong as the bag does not weight more than 15KG

re: luggage allowance

Re the above discussion - I am travelling Crystal on Sunday 7th. My boots are packed in my suitcase along with my helmet. I am just on the 20kg limit. Are we saying that boots can travel on their own in the hold as part of my 20kg allowance ?? Is there a charge for ski/snowboard transportation. What about the boots. I would really like to remove them from my case.
