in the brochures it says it 2.5 hr transfer from plovdic to bansko!?

2.5hrs from Sofia - yes, but no chance from Plovdiv. The "road" was badly damaged by landslides last year so are many detours and what is left of the "road" is littered with potholes that an average car would disappear into and never be found again!

If you have a choice try to fly to Sofia...
