Fleecey - comparing the dry slope with the real thing is almost like chalk and cheese!
I learnt the basics on a dry slope (£50 'guaranteed to ski in a weekend'..sounds like something off the simpsons!!).

The hardest bit was working out how to successfully i)get onto the lift and ii) get off the lift without flying into a snow wall!!
But it was all part of the experience and I guarantee that you will not stop laughing - it is that much fun!!
Welcome to the best pastime known to man!
It's not skiers that cause moguls, it's a complicated mathematical formula akin to wave theory that is also responsible for sand dunes and white horses...
Whats really interesting is that they move uphill!
thatss absolute crud....leave a manicured piste for a day in high winds and you wont get moguls..
insert a few skiers and hey presto snow is moved aroud to create a bulid up of snow where there trail has been...
and boarders aren't afraid of moguls, they are just a pain
I've found that if you canl't go round them, go over them!! Unless like me, you forget there might be another one on the far side!! Standing with the front of your board buried in a mogul can be quite funny for onlookers!
