I completely agree.

My family & I holidayed in Borovets this January & my sister fell foul of a skier listening to his mp3 player. He was coming down the slope. My sister was skiing at a leisurely pace and he just wiped her out. They both went sliding down the slope him on top of her. When they did come to a halt, a ski school instructor had made his way to her & had managed to make her comfortable. The man that had walloped into her was very apologetic and explained that he had not noticed her, thought he was in control BUT was listening to his mp3 player. The ski school instructor gave him a real dressing down. We managed to get her off the slope – with assistance but she was in some really bad pain in her groin. She visited the hotel doctor that evening that sent her to hospital for an x-ray. They only x-rayed her leg/groin area and said that it was a really bad strain. The next day we were flying home. The hospital had given her a note for the airport etc saying she was ok to fly. When she was at home she visited our local hospital that x-rayed again, this time a bit further across her leg area. It turned out that she had cracked her pelvis. She’s still off from work now, 5 weeks later.

I’ve wanted to share this since we came home but there was never an appropriate time, I feel now is.

Despite the end of our holiday, we had a fantastic time and hopefully when my sis is back on her feet we will go again at Christmas!!
