no moaners on the 23rd

can you tell me if there is anybody going to borovets on easter sunday who is not going to moan?
fare enough there is not loads of snow and none of these resorts are that pretty without snow.
but we have a week off work and i'm sure whatever the conditions we will be able to ski to some extent.
we skiied in pamps two years running with 30cm of snow and on some days we had to avoid large areas of mud.(makes you a more controlled skiier).

anyway me and the mrs are flying from manchester and are staying at the flora so if any of you non-moaners fancy a beer?

Hi wilbermina

I too am going to borovets over easter, with the Mrs, we leave on the 22nd.

Its our first time to Bulgaria so I've been reading with interest all the pos+ and neg- remarks over the last few weeks. It does make me laugh how people like to moan.

Our mates went to Austria for a long weekend, we had our flights booked but decided not to go, mainly for money reasons. They had no snow and didn't ski once! The lack of snow can hit you anywhere, so as long as I get on the ...

Our mates went to Austria for a long weekend, we had our flights booked but decided not to go, mainly for money reasons. They had no snow and didn't ski once! The lack of snow can hit you anywhere, so as long as I get on the slopes i dont mind about how much snow there is or isn't or if its slushy or icey.

We're staying at the Bor/Edelweiss - was the cheapest and have low expectations. Anyone else stayed here? I haven't got a clue where it is in relation to town or where to meet for a drink.

re: no moaners on the 23rd

I am a boarder and the mrs is a skier, most of our usual are skiers so was thinking about doing some more lessons if they are cheap and the snow aint great. Ill wait to see before i book any lessons tho.

Hi M, agree about just getting away, snow or no snow, it'll be a much needed break.

So is Alpina the only suggestion for drinks..?

My usual crowd have a proven theory that who ever goes home sober is most likely to get injured the next day. So we drink for immunity from injury, ...

I do so hope you lot go with an open mind - having read some of the posts, I couldn't blame you for being a tad worried - hoping you get some fresh stuff to ski on which I reckon is a good bet - have a good hol - I do hope you enjoy Borovets!! Very Happy

re: no moaners on the 23rd

Hope you all have a great time. Traditionally there's always a big fall of snow to finish the season - fingers X

There will be more than enough snow on the top though, so I'd put money on you skiing. Very Happy
