not skiing so what to do in borovets

Hello

I1m going to Borovets 2nd March, a group of 16, I1ve been to Borovets lots of times but this time I wont be skiing due to having an operation to take out a plate and screws from my leg after a break a couple of years ago. Any ideas on what to do instead while everyone else is off skiing for the day.

Thank you

You might find a friend in my mother in law, Debbie. She does not ski any more thanks to osteoporosis and will be on her own for at least some of the day. We are out on the 2nd as well.

Cheap massages and spa stuff all around the resort (I think the best one is a the bottom of the Yastrebetz slopes), you can always go up to the top of the mountain and take photos etc., trip to the Rila monastery (supposed to be pretty god), trip into Sofia for shopping/culture (churches etc.), go on the snow scooters, horsecart riding... There is a few things to do, and most is not too expensive so it really depends on what kind of stuff you are into... Hope this helps Smile

Hi Avalanche, long time no see name on board, shame about leg. Your staying in Moura watch out for the wet slippery floor, bit of a hazard. Thing to wear get some of those snow grips for your shoe's/boots use when required ei; staggering back from bar. Half day trip to Rila monastery is great.

Take care hope back on skis in not too distant future.

S.P. Very Happy

Hi Snow Plough and Snow White

Its the other half who ski's and our boys snowboard, I,ve never been that keen lol but I dont fancy staying home alone this time so if the op goes ok I,l be going along, lots of drinking sounds good, and yes maybe I will visit the Rila Monastery, hoping that some of our group will be taking the odd day off skiing so I,m sure I,l have a lovely time. CANT WAIT
