Howdy folks Just had a quick thought and come to the conculsion, I'm going to be carved to pieces on the slopes it sounds as PP, IMT , and bank noter were born with ski's on there feet an I'm just a veteraine of 1 lesson. Do you recomend any runs to try 1st or one to avoid
Hi Dave,
I've only been three times myself. I've managed to get myself parallel skiing, and once you can do that, you can tackle some steeper stuff. I did a steep red at Borovets last year, and it's a great sense of achievement. Something both myself and a friend who was a second timer found was that the more aggressively we attacked the pistes, the easier it seemed to be. Don't take this as gospel though, I'd hate to see you bust your leg because of my advice. The first year I went ...
Hi Dave,
I've only been three times myself. The first year I went (Borovets) I displaced the lower half of my right leg ie bottom half turned, thigh didn't !!!!! I'm affraid I used some very international words that could not possibly be posted here........needless to say it hurt !!!!!!!!!!!!!. Don't let this put you off, I was pushing too hard (on the fourth day, why does everybody hurt themselves on the fourth day?, confidence I suppose?).
I've never been to Pamprovo before, but looking at the photos, there seem to be some long greens and blues. Stick to these, and master them first. Remember, if you can't stop quickly, you won't feel confident about tackling anything else. The instructors will put you straight. I'm going with my wife, daughter, and a complete newbie friend with his son. I'll be spending quite a bit of time with them on the slighter slopes. Something I found last year when skiing with my wife, as I was following her, watching what she was doing, I wasn't concentrating on my own skiing. This might sound daft, but somehow it seemed to improve my own skiing because of it. I imagine an analogy would be when you can drive a car without having to look down and see where the pedals are, you're getting the hang of it.

Ps I might................have a go at the "wall" at the end of the week I've seen photos, it doesn't look scary at all..................................
Been to quite a few resorts around Europe, and can say that although not too long, THE WALL is super steep, great fun, but certainly makes you think.
Being realistic David, just go to the top of the mountain and follow the really nice and wide blues all the way down - superb confidence building runs. You will be fine, a great place to improve.
IMT - (my feet are size 11 so sometimes feels like I was born with skis on!)
Thought so Banknote, if you've not seen it before it will be quite a sight for you. Seem to remember that you need to get within 2 or 3 yards to see the pitch of the slope - think you'll be ready for it though!
David,
Judith posted her photos from earlier this year, here's the link. Judith's photos
Maybe they will give you some idea of what to expect.

The Wall is awsome.
It is so steep that when you are stood at the top, you cannot see the slope, only the bottom 1/4 mile sheer downhill drop. Once you have plucked up the nerve to go, then you need to keep going. The worst thing to do is stop on it as you'll start to question your ability and that's when the brown stuff starts to smell!!!!!!!!!
We have skied it about a dozen times now, but the respect for it never deserts you. Get it wrong and it's weeeeeeeeeeee for about 5 minutes ...

We are there for 2 weeks from 22nd and now know all the slopes back to front so if any of you want to join us on any slope, green, blue, red, or black we would be only to please to show you the way down.
Falling over doesn't matter as long as you don't hurt yourself......it just adds to the fun.
I tend to fall over more in the evenings after a few bevvies
