re: pamporovo/borovets or bansko?

im booking the snezhanka hotel in pamps for the 10th Jan.

im undecided though whether to ski or board.
my friend cant ski or board but i can ski, so we may both do boarding so at least we can progress the same with an instructor. if we both do ski-ing i feel i may be held back waiting from my friend to catch up etc.

is it ok for beginer boarding in pamps? only thing im frightened of is the drag lifts, they used to catch me out on skis let alone a board.

do you think a hire shop ...

do you think a hire shop would allow me to have a board package for 6 days and if we both couldn't pick it up perhaps we could change it for the ski package?

I would go to Andorra, sorry. It's cheap, is a party capital, has loads to ski, and there is lots of snow right now wheras the Bulgarian slopes are barren

I would definitely recommend Borovets, everyone I know has had a great time, whether they're looking for skiing or nightlife... everything is here! Pamps is a bit more spread out so getting around can be harder... everything is walking distance in Borovets

re: pamporovo/borovets or bansko?

Has to be Borovets, tried them both over new yr and later on and Boro for me everytime, many more bars and resturants and i'd hazard a guss it's a bigger resort..

As for learning, well i'd even go as far as to say Borovets too,the main green slope in Pamps gets far to crowded, and a little to narrow at the top..

Anyways looks like you made your decision so have a great ski holiday..
