I also agree with Dan the Man. More of the tour operators need to start flying into Plovdiv, i know that some are, but nowhere near enough, and the transfer from Sofia can be enough to put people off. I only hope some of the big guns are reading this although i seriously doubt it.
We're not off to Pamps this year as we had bad experience with snow again last year, in early Feb. Real shame as it is a nicer resort than Bansko - we've been to Pamps 3 times so know it can be fantastic (remember 2005 when you could hardly see the main street!)
Ref Plovdiv airport, I have emailed Balkan Holidays (our fave operator to BG) and they have said that they will start using that airport again 'once the facilities are up to standard and the airport runway can be kept ice-free'. ...

Personally we never had a problem using Plovdiv airport - and wouldnt go back to Pamps until it is an option again
Bit of a shame that BH Air can't use its old Soviet TU-154s anymore - we never had a problem landing at Plovdiv on one of those babys! Even in thick fog! Built like tanks
My personal bookings are up on last year (which isn't saying much as last year was dire) I suspect they are up due to the lack of package deals this year for Pamps - maybe people are chosing to go DIY instead.
Agree that it would be so much better if the budgets too would fly into Plovdiv.
