passport

Has anyone had problems getting into bulgaria.
My passort has just under 3 months left on the passport. Will i get in??
I fly out on Sunday!

Not tried it John but I checked last year for my son & you needed 3 months left before date of returning to UK so good luck to you for Sunday.

I travelled in the second week of December with a passport that expires in Feb 2009, without any problem.

Its not true that they don't really look - they scan my passport every time I enter and leave. Google should help you find out what the current entry requirements are

i travelled with only 6 weeks on mine, no problem even after scanning

I checked as I am coming out on 4th of Jan. If you are a European visitor your passport just needs to be in date for the length of your stay.

Have fun, It's my first time to Bulgaria, looking forward to it :-)

Hi phoned the bulgaria embassy people or someone like that and was told you need 3 months on your passport for bulgaria.

Obviously they may not be this stringent but I wouldn't fancy flying all the way there to get told sorry you're going home.
