Hello all,
does anybody have any info on Pay as you go sim cards to buy in bulgaria? Where going to Bansko in Feb ( Again, Cant wait!) and I'm thinking this could be a good way to keep in touch with everybody whilst where up the mountain. Did use our english phones a bit last year but it cost a fortune so im wondering if buying Bulgarain sim cards will work out cheaper. Any help would be appreciated, especially you joy Applebee cos you seem to know your stuff.

JUST PHONE FROM HOTEL ROOM ,IT WORKS OUT CHEEP,AS LONG AS YOU PAY EACH DAY AND DONT LET IT BUILD UP

Hi Jonbonce.
I bought an M-Tel PAYG in Sofia about 4 months ago for 40lv (about 14 quid) and 30lv of that were credits. You can get cheaper ones I think. They are much better than using your UK mobile - as long as you keep your calls within BG. I reckon you won't need more than a 20 lev one. Maybe someone can advise you where to get one in Bansko.

...oh yeah, make sure your phone is unlocked for other networks - although most phone shops will know someone that can do this for you - for a about 10lv

use the pay fone in resort with one of there fone credit cards--------much cheeper

u can buy a sim for ur mobile from gosim very cheap calls

Use the payphone in the post office in Bansko. Call very cheap.
