just had a phone call from my son and his friend who arrived in borovets last night . went to get their skis today and told by the inghams rep that the piste was closed.very little information forthcoming !! anyone else know what is happening orr know what they do in these situations? would be really greatful for any useful info as a very worried mum!
Everyone is right above, the pistes are closed and have been for a couple of days. High winds have meant the gondola is closed and there is no snow anywhere.. Not sure what Inghams will do but I know Hunters ski school this morning have taken their classes over to Bansko. Obviously people have to pay for a new / different lift pass, but they have put on the bus free of charge so people can at least have a bit of skiing.. Not sure if any of the other schools are doing that but unfortunately ...

Sorry I can't offer any better news.
Yep - we flew home on Boxing Day after a week, and the piste's were very muddy and rocky after 2 or 3 days of thawing weather - temperatures 13 - 16 degrees! But at least we managed to ski every day
Snow is forecast this week apparently according to the instructors when we left - I do hope he gets some, we had such a fabulous time last week
Meanwhile, tell hin to chil lout in Ilko's bar! The Crown on the left of the slope as you go up! Such a lovley friendly place - I miss him & Franko ...
