we arrived in Plovdiv 2 hours late and there were five other flights in at same time - 2 delayed, 2 diverted from Sofia (snowbound) and 1 Italian. ONE luggage belt + 6 flights = complete chaos. 3 hours to retrieve our luggage! However, I've never seen such a good-natured bunch of people - everyone kept smilin' and jokes abounded. Mind you ... could have been the alcohol that was being passed round continually ...

If you manage the trip in less than 2 HOURS you will have done well...I know!! ..I have stayed in that hotel twice!!

And I have made the trip 13 times!!!

Not wishing to sound a know - it - all but the majority of times we have been there within 90 mimutes.

once we had managed to get our stuff an dget out of the airport, the actual transfer WAS around 90 minutes (we were at the Elina). When we checked in, they had made us a 'packed supper' (it was 3 in the morning) as we'd missed the evening meal ... bless!

Pete 13 times?????????? Didn't you used to land in Sofia until 2 or 3 years ago???

Now the trip from Sofia that's something else!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah - I thought he used to go from there too....maybe because it was late and he was getting a little muddled....
