Hi All,

I am going out on jan the 8th from MAN to the Samokov with a party of 9. Have advised all that grass skirts and garlands are needed for beach party. We have ski'ed other places too (in fact just returned from Andorra only yesterday!) including Pamps, but Bulgaria isnt just about ski-ing as you will find out.

Hope to see you all there in good party spirit.

I'm up for that : Razz

But in all honesty if i wanted a beach party i would much sooner be needing sun tan lotion than wellies !!

We are staying in the Rila so it might well be splashing about in the pool for a week if the snow does not start falling Cool

Just been upstairs to check tickets, looks like the 13;00 flight. There are three couples , one single guy mid, one thirteen year old and one 5 year old. So we shouldnt be hard to miss.

See you either there or in resort.

Donna,

Andorra was brill, I am an experienced skier and my wife is just breaking out of beginer status. There is over 200km of runs which are well snow cannoned if real snow isnt on the horizon. Once wifey was tired I went for a blast around and wasnt disapointed. We stayed at the Hotel Llac Negra in Pass de la cassa, which turned out to be a very functional and friendly hotel. Half board food was exceptional. Pass itself is what you want it to be as there are late night clubs and friendly quiet bars. Drinks are cheap (exceptionally big measures but not as cheap as Bulgaria).

If you are thinking about buying gear its duty free which is a bounus.

If you see our group in Bulgaria say hello....

Bye Bye
