If you open a bank account with Lloyds/TSB travel insursance is free!!!!!!

I found that ASDA was really reasonable, also gotravelinsurance.com are really cheap too.

an annual policy may be almost as cheap as a 3 week deal

Just ensure you're covered for all aspects of skiing if buying general travel insurance. Check the clauses.

As I have said before the Lloyds TSB thingy doesn't cover winter sports I had to pay an extra £50 to get this covered. You need to check the small print.

Yes it does Dave.

I have used it for years, plus my wife has worked there for 30 years.

Maybe it's only for Platinum card holders, but we certainly get free winter cover.

I just had to call them to check, because it cost me £50 extra last year but that was to include my daughter. You are insured free for either winter sports / or for free annual family cover.If you want the winter sports option you have to tell them or you will not be covered.

If you want your family covered for winter sports as well you have to pay a premium. They just quoted me £ 57.50 to ...

I claimed off them last year for piste closure and they paid up no problem.

Seeing as we are just in the process of closing all our business and personal accounts with Lloyds we have decided to get an annual family insurance with Insure and go for £82.50.
