hi all head to pamp on 04-02 6 lads first timers what money do wee need to see us through a week know its lev but we dont want to leave us short any ideas, all like our beer and food etc

£400-£500 quid should be ample if you are on Half board, food is a bit hit and miss in the hotels, so you might want to eat out a bit. You will need to take clean English notes, not torn or written on, as the exchange booths will be very choosy with badly marked or ripped notes.
Would be worth while taking some currency for your first night, as tipping drivers and porters is expected, and of course your first night beer is a must!

Cash Cards can be used in ATMs in Pamporovo.

Does EVERYONE take £s or have some people exchanged for Levs over here and gone out with Levs.

£400 sounds alot for a week if you are half board and have all your ski hire paid for already.

£400, bit steep unless you're thinking of buying equipment, contraband or anything else. Took 270 lev and GBP 150 spending money... only spent GBP 200 and that included eating out each night

I took £250 worth of levs. I would say that was just about enough. Take £300 and you will be safe. Just don't eat at top of slopes ( very expensive). Depends how you spend money i guess.

we bought stack loads of booze, thats the cheapest part.
A measure of Voddy is the equivalent of 4 or 5 here and costing only 3 lev.
The food certainly isn't as cheap as it used to be but no doubt you could search around for some cheaper options. The usual price of a steak was between 18 - 23 lev. No complaints about the food except for the Red Lion, it was poor.

Wronguns says don't eat at the top of the mountain, but up there you are paying for where you are, the Tower's restaurant is very good, but you need to pay for the lift to the top.

Anyway back to the original question, they are a group of 6 lads, boozing and eating, and once they see the skidoos, they will want to spend some on them, also there are other trips to think of and tips. £400 is minimum, unless you are too tight to tip the staff and ski instructors.

£400 if you're arranging everything through your tour operator, depends on whether you prefer to book locally. If you're there to ski, eat, sleep and drink, then £250 - £300 is ample
