does anyone about spam e-mails today i have had over 40 e-mails from e-mail demons ( Returned e-mails ) the problem is i havn't sent any for example my e-mail address is jgcleaningservice@yahoo.co.uk the e-mails that have been returned to me have the address of things like pyramid@jgcleaningservice.com.can someone help this is really doing my head in i have tried to contact yahoo but i have had no reply. please please HELP.

Jamesg, I'll be looking at the answers on this topic, I too receive about 40 e-mails a week on my yahoo account all from different people sending me greeting cards or post cards, Im a popular sort of chap (l.o.l) but not that popular, lets see if any of the regulars to this great site have a computer wizz in the ranks.Mark.

Run a virus scan and a spyware check for a start, your computer may have become a zombie, seriously that is what they are called. Keep on trying with Yahoo as your real address looks like a work one, if Yahoo get pee'd off with you for what appears to be you sending so many SPAM e-mails, even though you didn't, they'll probably close your account.re: i need help fast

Comes from having your email address displayed on your site, it has been picked up on by spammers and used with fake names before the @jgcleaningservice.com
In your case I suspect you forward emails to your yahoo account and that is why it appears stranger than normal.
Get in touch with your internet provider and turn off something called 'catch all' emails - this basically means that at the moment if anybody emails abc@jgcleaningservices you are sent the ...

Turned mine off and the emails telling me I have sent things and they have not arrived also stopped.
You cannot stop them being sent, but you can stop being told about them!

You have nothing to worry about, except perhaps that your email address above is going to get spammed to hell and back. Some spammer scum has simply used what it/they think is your domain name (it might be a spambot), and started sending spam with you enveloped as the return address/sender. It's an old trick to prevent their spam accounts being deleted quicker, thus allowing them time to get some more spam out.

We have very strict spam rules in place, so much so that AOL users get binned nearly every time (dress your html E-mail in the same clothes as spam, what do they expect?) I still get between 400-600 E-mails a day that make it through to the final filter on my machine. I use cloudmark safetybar, which kills all bar 4-5 spam a day in my E-mail client.
As for the "tracking cookie" you found, all cookies are trackers, that is their job. You will have one on your machine from this site, and in fact every site you visit. They can be used maliciously, but the risk is tiny.

Thanks a lot guys its a pity the 600 + e-mails i had returned wasn't people e-mailing for quotes, but i did manage to find 3 for work that could have been missed and one was for a very big big job.anyway ill stop talking now and say thankyou to everyone on this board that has helped me THANKS
