I agree with mr ski, having found ourselves in a similar situation bought boots out there, but with hindsight had we bought the boots at home they would be better fitting and therefore more comfy.
In Borovets there are 5 shops, Alexs' next to Crown Money exchange is the busiest, speaks good english and will give a good deal. You will save possibly £30 on new range of boots, older ranges are the same price as home.
Pays your money takes your chance. Hope this helps
