ebay mate, i got one the other day £57 thought it would be a pile of pants but so far what i have recorded is not to bad, you can go for a more costly one but it would be hit or miss, check out the lines? higher the better.

I use the Tachyon XC. A boom proof camera. Great quality picture even in a white out but bad sound. The only camera that can take a 32G sd card which will get you about 16 hours of recording on the highest picture quality. When using helmet cams dont buy any old cheap SD cards. Go for the more high speed cards. A good 32G sd card could set you back €200. I paid $150 for the camera. It can only be bought direct of them. www.tachyon.com. There is a cheaper model but it hasn't got the extras ...

Bought one from Amazon for my husband only cost £32 including postage thought for that amount if it was no good we had'nt lost a lot. But we were plesantly suprised the quality of the recording is great can record up to 2hrs on an 8mg card. If you forward your email address i will try and forward some footage so you can see the quality.
I did this on a ATC3000 strapped to my head, 4gb card gives 2 hrs and takes AA batteries so cheap to run and you can have extras which you'll need in the cold. Paid £100 for camera and £30 for card. It's also waterproof so can be used for snorkelling!!!
Downside is the sound is rubbish, and no viewfinder, so you line it up and go. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uyck2dpkjH8
Also a good tip is to use Lithium batteries, Alkaline batteries are useless in the cold and may only last an hour or two. Lithium batteries will give you at least 10 hours in minus 25 degrees. You'll only find these batteries in camera shops.
