tried to get away without paying ski carriage, no probs at the UK airport, but here the tour operator is checking every single set of skis on to the coach by the invoice.had to pay up or they refused to carry them

now the tour operators ripping us off. they would blame the airlinesre: ski carriage
no no iam sure they would be just as vigilant if your skis where damaged or went missing .they would do everything witin their power to sort the problemwouldnt they?????????

As far as know though, the ski carriage is clearly advertised in the brochures and you should be aware of it before booking.re: ski carriage
We usually pre-book the ski carriage so there is no issue and hassle/worry if your skis will be ok. Plus, we have heard of people having to pay a bit more on the day than if you pay in advance?

ski carrage is just another money making scam ... so long as your total weight is not more than 20kg why should there be a charge .. this charge has been increasing and is becoming expensive .. 2 years ago easy jet charge was 15 return now 30..

Too many people want to accuse others of ripping them off when all they are doing is running a business.
Seems quite logical to me!

i agree that costs in relation to carriage has gone up last year 15 pounds with crystal this year 30 pounds. How can they justify that increase in costsre: ski carriage
Is it just carriage or is it carriage and storage, balkan charge £30 but this also includes the weeks storage costs so not that bad, have been told that the skis and boots should not weigh more than 15 - 18 kg, in previous years i have always packed my clothes in with the skis but not allowed this year? apparently it varies from airport to airport and manchester can be funny. so now have to take a case and ski bag. so double the luggage, also can anyone advise can my daughter take her helmet ...
