re: ski passes

Same at Pamporovo but if you go to Bansko they have the new scan system which you just keep your lift pass in your pocket and it detects it

re: ski passes

The photo will be taken digitally for your photo pass in Bansko if I remember correctly. You need to leave a small deposit for the pass card but this is returned to you on it's return to the base issuing office near the start of the cable car's first run

re: ski passes

Val the cards in operation in Bansko are SKIDATA contactless pass (Austrian design) - they are much the size of a credit card but much stronger plastic - be careful not to lose it, there is a charge for replacement. They never let us down last year although you do need to make sure you are close to the sensor or it will not pick you up.

Wearing it on the left often was the easiest method of quick access - you will find yourself pointing your body towards the sensor for the first journey ...
