Don't be tempted to buy the british cigarettes like L&B, Super Kings or anything that resembles British off the streets in the resorts. They are fake and could really kill you as they are very toxic. They contain things like mercury and cyanide.
If you are going to smoke these brands take them with you or buy the Bulgarian cigs which are totally acceptable.
The point some of you are missing, is that you will be guests in a foreign country. People Smoke in Bulgaria, its not against the law.
What happens if your ski instructor smokes ?
What happens if your bus driver smokes ?
You go into a small bar/lodge up the mountain ( petes bar as an example)?
Your coming out of daks at 4 am, its freezing cold, your taxi driver is smoking ?
On the last night, youre in the apres ski bar, everyone there, ski instructors and all and everyone is ...

If you say that you will take them to task then fair enough. And actually say something.
If you dont , youre being a hypocrite. Whereby you have one rule for one and none for others
DW I'm certanily not a hypocrite, if someone is in my personal space smoking, if practical I ask them to blow their smoke in a different direction, but really why should I have to do that?. As for the taxi driver, if he won't put out the fag he doesn't get my customer.
Zedee, I love the bit "they could kill you" and there was me think all fags could kill you. I'm only saying whats written on the package.
can't be arsed trying to rationalise with you any more. Did you not read what i said. Its your flawed 'human rights' and 'choices' argument that i have a problem with, thats whats hypocritical!
Bulgaria has one of the highest smoking levels in Europe and until the beginning of 2005 there was no legal protection for non-smokers. Now, new regulations for smoking in public and in offices have been introduced and you should now find all restaurants, bars and cafes have a properly ventilated No Smoking section for at least 40% of the seats. It may take some time before everyone begins to observe this though and it is rarely enforced at the moment..
i prefer skiing v boarding
i used to be a smoker
my wife is an occational smoker
i hate smoke, cant walk in a shop or a pub and you have to inhale on your way through them.
i only give up to prove i could
I was in a pub Saturday night with some friends who have never smoked. There was a strange smells of what seemed to be of stale beer, urine, and chemicals. It was an upmarket pub too. The smell was quite overpowering.
One of my non-smoking friends turned to me and said - God I wish they'd bring back smoking in pubs!!!!!!!!
