hi all can anyone tell me how much fags cost in borovets and if u can buy them on the plane out there on the 24/01/09re: smoking
Sorry jon- everyones caught up in the gas problem at the momment i think!
with Balkan a couple of year ago couldnt buy them on the plane if i remember right- or at duty free from Newcastle- however local brands in Borovets were much cheaper about 60p a pack (that was a couple of year ago though!)
get a couple of packs to see you into resort then buy local brands when you get there.
There were local sellers on the street selling allsorts, local and international brands (not sure if real ...

Ciggies on the streat are a definite fake, don't buy those. Buy in a normal shop, check for banderolles and don't worry, they're definitely cheaper than the UK.re: smoking
yeah- i thought streat sellers re cigs would be fake like too!DVDs were ok though!

thanks for that it has been 2 yrs sinces we last went looking forward to it. went to the alpes at xmas cigs where the same as homere: smoking
If you get the chance buy them in the arivals at Sofia airport. Booze is cheaper too.re: smoking
Can you buy in arrivals at sofia? (never flown there allways been Plovdiv in the past)How much then?

Almost all branded Cigarettes in Bulgaria such as Bensons, Lambert & Butler etc. are imported fakes from Poland (including the ones sold in the shops) and whilst the packaging is almost identical, the cigarettes themselves are absolutely disgusting (arn't they all) and should be avoided like the plague. Stick to the local brand of Victory which are very simular to UK Cigarettes but 1/4 of the price.Pete
