ok here's one for you, has anyone been to the snowpark at a small village by plovdiv and pamporovo? some one in bansko told me about it last night, and there is a page on this site about it, but aparently its only at 1000 metres, so the snow must be sparse?thanks

Lewis, I live in Momchilovtsi (about 16km from Pamporovo) and the Snowboard Park is located above the village (about 10 mins run). I spoke with BoBo who runs the Snowboard Park and this week they had 30cm of snow up there. Ski-dooing is brilliant as when you get to the top there are acres of open land to have fun on with views to die for over the Stara Planina .

that looks awsome, thanks andy, im living in bankso this season, would you be interested in exchanging a night to two's accomodation sometime, you stay with me i stay with you?do you go to the park much, any idea how much the skidoo rides are, is the idea to be taken up to ride back down?

Hi Lewis, unfortunately I am back in the UK from Saturday for 2 weeks and come back home to Momcholovtsi on 13 February with my granddaughter.
You are welcome over here at any time. I am not sure of the cost of the ski-doos. I will find out from BoBo but I think its about average. And you don't get taken anywhere - from the start you get on the ski-doo at the bottom of the run. You are then on your own to go right to the top and ski-doo around to your hearts content in the wide open ...

Obviously its cheaper if there are two of you and there is a time limit of about 45 mins I think.
I was up there last week and can't get enought of it - its so exhilerating and bloody good fun - I love it
