re: snowbaord size - help

My son started boarding at age 9, can't remember the size board he used - first time he was given a rented Burton one, but the next season I bought him one from Magic Motion snowboards - found then on ebay. Also bought some 2nd hand Burton bindings.

Sold the lot last year on ebay for around £60! But try pasting this link

Good luck and have fun. We've moved on from Pamps to Borovets as more runs for the snowboarding ...

Dona - I don't think you could handle Borovets!! A whole week of Tamworth nights - 24 hours long!!!

Go on 2010 - I dare you!

Hiya Snowsy

Thanks for that .....from what I can tell Magic's smallest board is 145cm which is way to big but will bookmark them for when he gets bigger.

Thanks need all the luck I can get lol ....can't believe how complicated it all is. Am hoping pamps will keep him amused for a while yet.

re: snowbaord size - help

We had a tiny board from Magic Motion, think it was 110cm. Email them or give them a ring, number should be on their website. They were very helpful.

As for doing half term on the cheap, rent an apartment and book a flight on Bulgaria Air, but you have to book the flights in March this year for next Feb - they become available like 330 days in advance and that is when you get the best deals. Better than easyjet believe it or not. Keep searching on www.opodo.co.uk, and book EARLY ...

Just looked through my folder and see I booked my flights for 14th Feb 2009 on 10th March 2008 - £160 a head Gatwick-Sofia. Your son is young and can share a room with you - my lot are all teenagers now, 2 boys and a girl and can't possibly share beds or even rooms - I've booked a 2bed/2bath apartment in the middle of Borovets for half term week. Booked last March and got it at last years rates! Problem is the euro rate and it is all costing a lot more than I budgeted for, probably be £500-£600 more for the 4 of us for the week. But never mind it will be FUN!

re: snowbaord size - help

Def can do MK ....Tamworth is a mission for me if we ski on Sun like last time as get back really late for Logan when he has school next day ( wouldn't stop me coming though). Plus I get a proper night out there as Auntie Rosie can babysit. So Logan will be happy as he will still get to ski and see everyone and then get spoilt rotten by my aunt while I go out and get drunk .....love it Booze Booze Booze Booze

Are Smadd and Bri up for it too Question Question

re: snowbaord size - help

They normally are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A bit further for them but we are sure they will be up for it. I think it will depend on work commitments for them.
That 110 chopper sounds great value, Im sure you will get at least a couple seasons out of the board and bindings so I hope the boots last that long! I am going from a 165 to a 150 this year so my board is shrinking too! cw B and TD

re: snowbaord size - help

Are you shrinking too Bob. Yeah am def gonna get the board and am sure the boots are gonna last a while. They are Prions with removable liners which gives them a bit longer and are a size 2. Logan tried on a pair of Burtons when we were at Tamworth and the size 1's fitted so reckon the size two's with thick socks should be fine .....he can always wear two pairs if necessary lol. Just need to get the board serviced and some bindings.... any idea how much that will set me back? Very Happy Very Happy

Anyone ...

re: snowbaord size - help

you can pay anything from £5 used off ebay to about £300 for the latest bit of kit, If you go down the ebay route I recently tried for ages to get a pair of flow bindings and failed then the first time i bid on 2 pairs I won them both, for about £50 each Confused Too big for whirlwind Im afraid. You might find some at the right price tho! Flow bindings are the easy rear entry ones that save you sitting in the snow for 5 mins whilst you put them on. Razz Cool
