try edge2edge.com you can pick it up at the airport and the equipment is 100 times better than the stuff you'll get in resort

my step daughter is 12 and she skis and snowboards. she will happily tell anyone that snowboarding is waaaay harder than skiing.

we went away for christmas and we gave her a board for her main present. on the first day she knackered her shoulder on it, so we suggested that she switch to ski's for the rest of the trip (she learnt to ski first and consequently is better at it and won't fall over).

you know what she said? "NO WAY!!".
