Yep am in Pamps at moment. Everyone is saying there will be another dump on Thursday. Conditions not bad on the mountain at the moment. Few bare spots but its well skiable if you pick and choose the runs. This downfall should help a lot.

First post, I don't do message boards but his is the best news i've seen for days.

When you say the village do you mean the place where the big hotels and the White Hart Pub are or do you mean Malina Village where I'll be staying?

Coming out on 10th to pamporovo bringing my brother and sister in law and their 2 kids for their first skiing trip.

I'm absolutely terrified that it will turn into a walking holiday and it was me that talked them into going as I had such a great time on ...

I'm absolutely terrified that it will turn into a walking holiday and it was me that talked them into going as I had such a great time on my first trip this time last year.

I have seen conflicting reports about what is and isn't open - what's the real story? Is it better for experienced skiers than beginners (I'm still a beginner as I was ina group of 18! last year)?

Any good news you can give me will help me sleep at night

re: snowing hard in pAMPS

Yeah good point cause Pamporovo is not a village but a purpose built resort.

re: snowing hard in pAMPS

If your party are beginners there will be no problems at all. There has been enough snow for them since begining of January. Its the intermediate and advanced that have been suffering. But not any more!! Couple of Blacks still not open but most of the other runs are passable and some are brilliant. They have been using the snow guns - even today. Its def a beginners / intermediate resort. Anyone that can ski hard will find the runs a bit limiting but still enjoyable, its a great place ...

The Malina village is just down the road from Pamps about 1/2 mile. That is where the web cam on this site is situated. As you will see from that - tomorrow plenty of snow there now - ever the optimist - enjoy your trip you will love it.

re: snowing hard in pAMPS

Fingers crossed. We've got 4 kids between us. Boys 14 and 10 and girls 10 and 7.

The girls are really excited about seeing proper christmas card snow forthe first time so hopefully they won''t be disappointed.

It was 2 or 3 feet deep outside the chalets last year; my boys were digging tunnels in it!
