The snow has been coming down for the past 4 hours or so in Pamps and its still coming - should be a good cover by the end of the day if it keeps going and the skys still darkish. Havent been up yet today but the top half was just skiable yesterday down half way and with this dump we should get all the way down - ever the optimist !!
Had a text from Dave Canski yesterday, and was too bloody comfy to get up and post it
I quote "The top 2 runs are open at Platato. The red to Shillingarnika is open (the one on the BG ski webcam). and the blue from shillingarnika down to the gondola. No snow forecast this week, they need a metre to get going. Some big boulders if you go off piste.
He also adds some stuff about numbers that will be useful to us all later on.
Hate to rub it in you Bansko people but its coming down heaver than ever, they've even opened up the baby lift at the bottom of ski station 1 so its looking good folks
The baby lift is the one opposite ski station 1. Its just a single tow lift with about a 100m run. Its only interesting because its the lowest run in Pamps which shows the snow is deepening. And by the way - its still snowing
So wish I was going this this season. Usually ski in Pamps Feb/March, and snow has never let us down.
Just a question about Pamps - what is the use of Ski Station 2?! used it the first time, and its nice and new with a brilliant 4 man lift to the the mid station. Great ski storage and coffee shop n stuff - but never used it since? Ski Station 1 has all the stairs to trudge up and down, and is not generally as nice!
Have just crawled out form the christmas recovery pit to log on to check the reports. And to our utter excitement discovered the revelation that is Christmas snow in the resort!!! How much better can Christmas get? PP must be having a ball!! 8
