We cannot beat that quote, but not far away, as will have to use 2 buses but then we offer sandwiches, beer/soft drink and on board dvd's with our transfers. Not to mention great info and news about resort etc etc!!

A word of warning - which Ive mentioned previously re transfers....
Some tfr drivers are lunatics and risk their and their passengers lives with the tfr. I had one tfr either this year or last year (cannot recall which) with normal traffic not light traffic and the trip took IIRC just under 1hr30mins. And it was exactly the same going out & back - not quite as quick but essentially floor it up to the bumper of a car sitting inches away then pull out asap and race past as many cars as ...

And it was exactly the same going out & back - not quite as quick but essentially floor it up to the bumper of a car sitting inches away then pull out asap and race past as many cars as possible even into blind bends, hard emergency stops to avoid head ons.

On one trip there was a long line of static traffic I guess 10 miles from the turning off the main road to Greece to get to Bansko (mountain road). It was clearly either a road traffic accident or road works. To my frank disbelievement he simply pulled out and overtook the whole line of cars (turned out to be roadworks) roughly a mile of cars and then pulled in at the front of the line....

We had great flights & great holiday but frankly the TFR's could spoil the vacation... I dont care if its manly to drive like that you dont do it with passengers and being flung from one side of the car to the other and thrown forwards with the emergency stops.
On both occasions the driver couldnt speak a word of English & we had no idea how to get them to slow down.
This summer on one tfr he was going silly but did speak English so at a certain point I requested a toilet break... unrequired but got out of the car for 5 mins chance to relax and really to show him were in no rush we have 18 days of holiday to come dont want to be stressed.

So bear in mind quality of tfr is paramount, Im not saying its the cheapest or the most expensive but recommended tfr's with a fair/reasonable cost are worth their weight in gold.

It is terrifying sat in the back seat - Im no slow driver but the moves they make and they are flat out so engine has nothing left to give & Im just looking ahead thinking my god what is this idiot doing (and what happens... oncoming traffic has to slow to allow idiot the room to pull in)

Learn to drive.

Rant over

Im afraid that what Gareth says is all to common, and unfortunately reflects on all of us trying to provide transport.
It does though benefit us on occasions when guests simply refuse to take a return with their original company (even though they may have paid) and book with us...
We tend to drive very steady, 2 1/2 - 3 hours being the norm, preferring to let the guest relax with a beer/soft drink and watch a dvd on the tv...

We used them earlier this year. Couldn't see as it was dark en route, but driver seemed OK. A different story on way back Mad Lots of snow and he got stuck at apartment. Eventually managed to get out and 1/2 hr late so floored it. Only 1 clear lane at dual carriageway bit, but that wasn't a deterrent - he was overtaking on the snowy lane at 140 K's Drove bumper to bumper, pulling out into oncoming traffic, etc - a lunatic.

I've used Bansko Express a couple of times when travelling alone. They're ok - but it will be a Bulgarian driver, as described above. It's not as dangerous as some people seem to say, but certainly for those of us used to UK driving it's a white knuckle ride. If you're an even slightly nervous passenger (or even if you're not) then you'll be much more relaxed with someone like Steve. Plus the dvds (not to mention drinks) make the journey much more enjoyable! Booze

I've driven in Bulgaria, India and Italy and BG is not the worst, or even second imo. You can't judge the driving on UK standards - if someone drove like that in the UK then they'd be likely to crash, but the difference is that in some other countries everyone just expects people to drive like that, so they are used to getting out of the way. I wish the UK drivers were the same (in expecting the worst, not driving like lunatics!). I once saw someone in the UK not make any effort to avoid a crash they could have easily avoided, but they didn't because "I was in the right, he was the one in the wrong"! In Italy in particular people just overtake when there's oncoming traffic but the traffic moves over and nobody bats an eyelid. Not saying it's right, or safe, just that it's not the same as doing it in the UK.
