hi all, i have heard a that a motorway has been built bet.ween sofia and bansko , does anybody know is this right, if not finished when, and how long will the journey take thank you

unsure/dougbtful about about motorway although I did notice major road works between Sofia and Bansko.
Journey time from airport to Bansko 4 - 5 hours depending on what crazy driver you get.

i think you will find its only about 2 1/2 hours, i should no ive done it many times

Are you calculating the distance in a straight line over the air?.Dont misleed all of the people in this forum even if you have place in pamporovo and somehow want it to be closer to the capital.
realistically Sofia-Pamporovo is at least 4 hours and that if you are lucky with the traffic(2.5 hours plovdiv Pamp-and before there is 150 kilometers motorway ...

Sofia airport-Bansko is about 4 hours if the ring road is clear though.It will take you on average 1 hour in the last leg is lucky 1 hour to get out of sofia and reasonable 2 hours Sofia Simitli.Agree?

realisticaly in winter....yes, ive seen some sites saying 1 1/2 hrs, but then theyre selling properties

I have done this journey myself and yes i can do it in 2.5 hours. Pamps to assenovgrad is 55-60 mins then 30 mins to the motorway and an hour on that. I am talking airport rather than the centre of sofia.This by road and in a humble Opel Astra. Were you an extra in Driving Miss Daisy? In snow 3 1/4 hours tops

Christ 4-5 hours, we broke down on the way last March and even with an hour wait for a replacement minibus and a stop for beers it did not take 5 hours!!Did you via Bourgas Snow plough?
