hi guysi am thinking of going to bansko maybe in january and will be flying in to sofia alone what is the best, cost affective return transfer while travelling alone .

May be you will have a chance to use bus or train to Razlog or Blagoevgrad and from there bus or cab.Sune

depends on time of arrival, there are buses from Sofia up until 17-30, but tell me when you are going as I am not sure when I am heading off there, i will drive through Sofa

Train is an option, bus is definitely the cheapest though costing around 20lv... but you have to get down to the bus station from the airport, a bus does this, but you could take a cab.. be careful to get a quote before, as horror stories have happened (120lv has been charged) basically if the cab does not display its rates on the vehicle it can legally charge what it wishes...

use ok supertrans,,, the official taxis at the airport, not a tout. I have never had a problem with the official ones

Hi Paul,Steve C organises transfers from Sofia to Bansko, so I suggest you email him (click on his name above) and let him know your arrival dates - he may be able to tie up with another booking to reduce the cost. You also get snacks / drinks on the bus and he / Wendy are really helpful in terms of giving hints and tips on the resort.

i was quoted 125 euros for a return transfer to and from Bansko. Is this rate considered fine?
We are 3 people and dont even mind checking out the bus transfer. But we have our bags and snowboards.

1 - What would be the normal price for taxi from Sofia airport to the bus station (in sofia)? I'll make my calculations according to that and decide.
2 - How far is the bus station in Bansko from Avalon hotel located at 4 El Tepe street.
3 - One way bus rate is 16 lv. ...
