re:some questions about flying with Balkan

I normally book my own trips separate.
Obviously no ATOL protection if parts go belly up.

Only Balkan fly from Bristol & they want £300 for flight only with luggage. No brainer to pay an extra £150 for transfers, weeks accomodation & a 6 day lift pass!
Just this time out, its such a large group it would be a logistical nightmare trying to plod 200 miles to london, arrange suitable airport hotels, etc. because of the early flights.
Last Bansko trip we done ourselves & the prices are ...

Last Bansko trip we done ourselves & the prices are about the same (fuel, airport hotel, flights, transfers, hotel) - the saving on this trip will be travelling time in the UK.
I value my time enough to be happy to pay £100 & a bite more to save me 5 hours of travel time.

re:some questions about flying with Balkan

We flew with them twice - the first was a ropy experience (to Burgas I think) the second we couldn't wait to get off very old planes - on one trip cannot recall which one but the seat in front of me broke during the flight (on a full flight) so it dropped to rest on my seat a lovely 2 hours standing in the walkway.... never again.

I've looked at package deals before always used to do them when young but rarely these days do we do that - unless its a really nice All Inc holiday to the beaches of the med.

Coaches by law do not yet have to have seat belts in Bulgaria I understand. I ensure that with our transfer company, all vehicles have belts and child seats are provided where required.

My understanding is that coaches do not legally have to provide seat belts so you are probably wise to arrange a private transfer where you can insist.
