Who is your insurance company? Do you have a policy booklet which explains the cover?

They should give you a straight answer to whether or not they will meet your claim in these circumstances - it is totally unreasonable to expect you to scrap an expensive holiday and then sit there with your fingers crossed waiting for them to decide whether or not you are covered.

It suits them if you go because then you have the problem (entertainment etc) not them. Also you should check with them ...

It suits them if you go because then you have the problem (entertainment etc) not them. Also you should check with them whether they would cover medical expenses if (god forbid) your little one injured themselves further while they are there. Usually there is an exclusion for pre existing injuries.

I don't want to alarm you unnecessarily but it is worth checking.

I would call them again and insist that they give you an answer one way or another. If they don't then write to them telling them that you intend to claim anyway (even if you do go) and will refer it to the insurance ombudsman or the financial services authority.

I'm sorry to rant like ths but I find insurance companies intolerable - they are perfectly happy to collect your premium but when it comes to keeping their end of the bargain you can't see them for dust.

Make a nuisance of yourself - you won't be any worse off and you never know you might get a result.

Good luck whatever you decide to do and I hope your little one enjoys themself anyway.

hi you can get a blow up arm sleeve from most doctors that covers the arm and keeps it dry and safe to enable swimming etc ...cost about £20 but well worth i and it will last for a couple of weeks going on and off.
best of luck.

Maybe a couple of mornings you could pay for a minder so you could get a few hours skiing in.

I'm frantically trying to get my broken bones to heal before I go out in 4 weeks time! Really feel for you and your daughter. its bad enough being in pain with the broken bones let alone being fed up at the thought of loosing your holiday.

Hope you have a good holiday. Ps. just watch the plaster cast on the plane. I had trouble with the change in cabin pressure. it made my arm swell a bit making the cast tight. Went away as soon as i landed but was a bit painful. Nothing that a couple of ibruprofen couldn't help though.
