OK, I've got to stop this now! I have a confession to make.....
When I sent that e-mail to Amanda last night saying that Stephen wanted to donate his money, I was planning his birthday. It was actually his Christmas money that he wanted to donate. When I sent that e-mail to Amanda last night saying that Stephen wanted to donate his money, I was planning his birthday. It was actually his Christmas money that he wanted to donate. I'd had a drink or two and had his birthday on the brain! It was only when Amanda replied and wished him a happy birthday that I realised what I'd done. I didn't correct my mistake - didn't really think it'd matter. Now I'm reading all these birthday wishes to him and feeling really embarressed
So I'm really sorry - I'm still proud of him though - the sentiment IS the same, and I'll hold all those birthday wishes until April, when it really IS his birthday.
That'll teach me to e-mail after a few glasses of wine!
Yours sheepishly.
Pippa
You may be pleased to know that I can easily rectify this on the orphanage website which I will do asap. Just for your info - I have also added Stephen's photo to the Donation's page - to show that every donation, large or small, is so important and gratefully received.
The thanks to Stephen are still as heartfelt nonetheless - whether it be Christmas or birthday money.
