Tipping is a very personal thing but it is always a nice thing to do if you feel you have had a good week and good instruction.
The amount varies quite a lot but on average I would suggest 20 levs per person (approx. £7) would be a minimum. That only works out at about £1.40p a day so 50 levs each for the week would not be over the top.
Many tip less as they struggle to understand the currency, and think that 10 levs is a good tip.

Don't tip with presents, as although they will be gratefully accepted, a pair of gloves or a wolley hat is not really what an instructor would want.

re: tipping
AS MENTIONED ABOVE TIPPING IS VERY PERSONAL -- WE HAVE SKIED IN BORO 6 WEEKS NOW AND FEEL THAT IF YOUR INSTRUCTOR HAS GONE OUT OF HIS WAY TO GIVE YOU A GOOD WEEK & YOU HAVE LEARNT LOADS THEN 50 LEV WOULDNT GO AMISS.
We tipped more last year because our instructor was brill and really worked hard to make sure we got the most from our holiday. The one we had this year was not so good but we did still tip - just not as much.
now tipping is a strange ting to me, dont get me wrong i do tip waiters etc, but 50 lev each for someting that they are paid to do anyway, why? buy him a few drinks at the end of the week i say that is more personal, 50 lev each is like you are paying him a small wage not a tip. they may get paid little but living there is also cheep.
we were told at our welcome meeting that £10 per person is the norm....we had a bad instructor and left lesons after 2 days so didnt do any tipping
The lunch arrangements are very strict in that your instructor will expect you to go where they want and we realised you end up paying for his /her lunch so consider this when deciding how much to tip!!
Lunch is a perk of the job, we do not pay for it, the price for the food is on the menu regardless of if you are with an instructor or not!
They generally have to arrange/reserve a table in the morning for the group in order you get a seat, when its busy periods we cannot all go to the same restaurant, next time ask them why it is not possible to go to the restaurant you prefer, more often than not its because they already know there will be nowhere for you to sit, it may appear like they ...
