I have been with friends and also on my own and have just as good a time on my own, last year was one of the best ever I met a really nice group of people in my ski class and we all met up at night and had a great time, never had any problems being on my own, I go at Christmas to Bansko on my own this year then New Year in Pamps with friends, I love to ski so rather than miss out go on my own when my friends cannot make it. skiing is much easier to go it alone as you have loads to do in the ...

re: travelling alone

You're never alone in Bulgaria.
Pamporovo, Borovets, or Bansko no matter which, you will find many Brits who will welcome you to the party.

Depends on you John. I went to pamps in jan and was made to feel very much part of the party by everyone and i'm not particularly extrovert.

re: travelling alone

I think I will be in Bansko alone at Christmas. Not worried one bit. If you want to join up for a beer let me know.

re: travelling alone

I'm travelling to Pamps on my own early Jan and reckon I'll meet plenty of people in my lessons. I spent 3 months in SE Asia travelling alone a few years back and I was never alone unless I wanted a quiet night in with a book. You do whatever you want whenever you want...........

re: travelling alone

I wasn't in a boarding class and the best bit for me is i was able to please myself all day and go where i fancied. Chatting on the slopes to other boarders, I got a few invites to bars for apres. The most from the irish parties it has to be said, what a great bunch.

re: travelling alone

I go with just my young son (just turned 7). Gone to Bansko last 2 years - he in kindergarten and me at ski school or skiing on own but soon meeting up with people to ski with.

Everyone so friendly - it really will be fine.

Have a good time Booze Booze

re: travelling alone

where are you staying I am staying in the Lion.... maybe see you around the bar one night....

Like Pepe I am no extrovert either - never push myself on people just go with the flow and if I get an invite out I go, but even just sitting in the hotel bar generally gets someone talking to you.... I now have many friends in Bulgaria from going it alone.

re: travelling alone

I will be staying in the Mont Blanc apartments. Not far from you and Sir Galahads bar. Email me nearer the time and we'll arrange a time for a pint
