me and my best mate will be in bansko from 24th. We've both got lessons but she's learning to board (never been up a mountain b4 and I'm a little bit jealous that its her first time) and Im an intermediate skier. I reckon she might be quite good as she's sporty and likes surfing but i've no idea how quickly she'll be able to go on some of the runs that I can. So I'm wondering whats the best thing to do especially the first couple of afternoons, so should I:
a) leave my group for the afternoon and spend the afternoon with her even though i've never boarded and wouldnt be much help
b) hope that the guys in her group are cool and that she can spend time fallin on her bum with them
c) organise some more lessons for the afternoons - any ideas how much that would be?
d) dont worry about it and let her look after herself
She says option D!! but i wouldnt want her to get bored...
we had booked snowboarding lessons in Bansko for 3 mornings which turned out to be 5 days. it seems that although you only pay for 3 mornings the day stretches out, we never got back before 5 with the lessons then having something to eat then getting back to the hotel, so my advice is don't worry things always work out. plus by wednesday we were on the red and blue runs. hope it helps

I'm off to Bansko on 09/02/2007 for my first ever time out on the mountains. Heading over with a group of mates but always up for meeting up with some more boarders when we're over there. Staying in Chalet Montagne is case anyone is out there at the same time.
Cool, thanks for the advice guys. I guess I can see how it goes and get extra lessons if she needs them when we're out there! I'm so looking forward to it!
Oli, I'm quite jealous - my first time on a mountain was one of the best experiences ever... having said that I've loved it ever since!
