Help!!!!
Just called tour operator to book our lift passes etc and they said we might be too late (leaving for Borovets Sat 15th) - they never mentioned that we had to book them before a certain time (Crystal Ski).
So if we can't get them and end up having to get them in resort, does anyone know the best and cheapest place??? 2 of us just need lift passes. 4 need lessons, board hire and lift passes.
We're staying at the Olymp (yipee!!!!!) in B'vets.
Advice would be a ...

prices vary on school and boots and stuff. If you all go together to a smaller shop you could bargin for a good deal. Lift passes are from the gondola station and the do not. no discounts there!!!! 280 levs for the week (about £100)Hope this helps

hI Amanda. just ret'd from Borovets. Had a great week skiing.Stayed at the Olymp.Very dated hotel. Use just as a base and eat out. Food not good and cold!! receptionists miserable, Crystal rep stuart never there and useless. Take some soft toilet roll!! You will have a great time in Borovets skiing, if you have complaints, push the rep like we did(when we saw him!Have fun

I stayed at the Olymp last yearGet everything from the guy who runs the ski rental shop in the hotel. Pass, skis, the works.
He is much cheaper than the stuff the operators were offering you to pre-book (i would think). most english tour operators try and rip you off enormously (the ones i've had contact with).

hi chrisi think you've restored my faith. Believe me tho, i'm going to go into the travel agents to go mental at them!!! They wanna piece of me they're gonna get one!
So is there some kind of rental shop in the hotel then??
Do you remember how much you paid?
Our lift pass was gonna be £59 with operator and the package was near on £100.

we had a ski package all in, skis,lift pass and tuition for £89. There is a ski hire in the olymp, but I dont know how competitive it is compared to others in townre: ummmm.... help???
HiNot sure how many days before hand you have to book - i booked mine yesterday with crystal and am going on 15th too so can't be that diffucult for them to get one for you. i think i remember somewhere that it was 3 days before travel.

did you get the 3 day pack?? They offered us that now but don't you think that's a lot of money to pay for 3 days hire, lessons and lift pass cos then you have to buy another lift pass for 3 days as well as equip for the last 3 days????re: ummmm.... help???
Well i got a learn to board pack - 6 days for 96.00 and boyfriend got a pass and equip hire for 134.00 but all for 6 days. They originally said that it was for 3 days but when i queried it and she read whatever she was reading properly realised it was actually 6 days but was worded in a way that looks like 3 days. I would def ring back and ask them to check as when i was trying to book the holiday i had about 6 different answers to my queries from crystal depending on whom i was speaking to.re: ummmm.... help???
