and its closer (to me) and cheaper (lift pass and refreshments) cause its not aimed at 'rich foriegners'its like a normal resort in minature, a handful of runs, some great off piste, always a few rails and jumps, and later in the season a bx course, great place!!

brilliant place for after work(half day escape from business or study) with a night skiing during the season too.
Generally colder and windier during the winter but easy to reach with a car from sofia -20-30 min or with the gondola if it is working.Less grooming on the slopes because just too dificult to manage.Some seasons the top stays wind swept and with little cover or very icy.I would say not for beginners.Very easy to get lost when foggy and dangerous.Alot of kids ski schools ...
