Hi

I have also booked for next year through thomson/crystal and have a flight from gatwick to plovdiv so think that someone has got the wrong idea. The tour companies are moving people booked this year for pamps prob due to lack of snow but all looks good for next year. Thomosn/crystal are still offering the same flights as this year one to plovdiv and one to sofia.so unless someone knows something we don't think we wil be ok. Pamporovo Pete,

Just because you do not agree with someone, don't act as though you know everything.

All tour operators are starting to move their programmes away from Plovdiv, fact!

For example, Balkan Holidays have cancelled their Birmingham, Bristol, Newcastle and Humberside flights from Plovidv.

According to their website they are now flying Birmingham, Bristol, Belfast, Cardiff and Gatwick charters to Sofia, none of which they offered this year.

All of the above is a sign that Pamporovo is not so important to them.

There is your proof!

Your comment was ALL tour operators are moving from Plovdiv, yet Balkan are still offering this airport as an option for 2009.

That is the fact.

Snowy Norman

If Balkan have cancelled their Humberside flight to Plovdiv why does it still come up on their website, ready & available to book for next year?

Where are you getting your info from? I'd love to know how reliable it is because they obviously haven't sorted their website out yet.

just back from pamps and all that is left on the slopes is mud & rocks in about 90% of the slopes. feel sorry for the people who just arrived as we were leaving. hope they get some fresh snow but doesn't look likley.

PP snowy norman is right, if you check with Balkan, they are not flying to Plovdiv next year. It may be different in their website, but you know how much Balkan changed flights times and destinations this year at short notice.
Even the tour operators don't seem to be supporting Pamps now.

I wouldnt worry to much about the transfer from Sofia, its only max 4 hours with a stop.
Have a kip, listen to you iPod, it beats having to fly into/out off Plovdiv I can tell you having done both the last 2 years.

Maybe Michelle can help with this, Not 100% but I'm sure I read she'd got a contract with Thomson/Crystal/Inghams for next year at her Hotel??
