The weather conditions are not what one would expect for this time of year. We are not experiencing the freezing conditions that are needed for retaining the snow in which has fallen during the past couple of days. Pamps only had a light fall of snow over the last couple of days and unfortunately the lovely warm weather that we had today is melting the new powder very quickly. We are not experiencing the freezing conditions that are needed for retaining the snow in which has fallen during the past couple of days. Pamps only had a light fall of snow over the last couple of days and unfortunately the lovely warm weather that we had today is melting the new powder very quickly. What is needed is lower temperature and more snow. As we drove through Pamps this evening it was not looking promising. Lets see what happens over the weekend.

Better of in bansko. Had bad snow twice in pamps and bansko hasn't let me down in 4 years. Even when conditions aren't great there's still plenty of skiing to be had. Pamps is too much of a risk when i can only afford to ski once a year.re: weather in Pamps now
Most tourists have been moved away from Pamporovo to Bansko.
Bansko and Borovets have far better snow conditions than Pamporovo, which unfortunately has a great deal to do with Pamporovo PLC not making any effort to look after the snow they had.
The ridiculous dispute which has resulted in the snow cannon reservoir being drained has not helped.
I fear that this situation has banged another nail in the coffin for Pamprovo. And not forgetting that all tour operators are moving ...

Hi Snowy Norman,Can you give more information about ALL the tour operators moving from Plovdiv, do you have any real eveidence of this? How did you hear about it?

Ok,
I know for certain that Thomson/Crystal/Balkan/Panorama have offered all clients to move away from Pamporovo. And as far as I here 95% of clients have accepted.
What evidence? Just say my info is quite reliable

I presume by your last comment that you mean they have stopped offering Pamps to people this year!Surely they will be using Plovdiv again next year!

I know about people being moved to Bamsko etc, but did you mean the flight for next year are being scrapped from Plovdiv.Maybe Michelle can help on this one??
