Buy lots of clothes that don't fit you.
Resign from your job.
Sit in the freezer for 3 hours. (Training)
Smoke roll-ups.
Buy a silly John McCririck deerstalker hat.
Drink alchol pops.
Then become a skier and realise what snow is REALLY for
Oooooooooo Pete, you can be soooooo cruel sometimes
Stacey, i love boarders... but i doubt i could eat a whole one...
I could never understand the attraction, `freedom of boarding'... they look like darth vador when their jackets come off with all the armour... honestly i have advised people who wish to try to simply smash themselves in the face, head and arse with a bar tray, almost the same experience as learning to snowboard
Bob, again... soooo cruel
I mean, i do agree that everyman (and woman ??) should have the right to sit where they wish, even on a blind bend, or on top of a steep gulley... slide sideways and sweep all the snow off... constantly fall off pomas and mow down half a dozen people behind them... create a guessing game for skiers behind them which way they are going to fall (thats actually quite a good one)... there are loads of examples but it is their right to do these things though ...

I am joking Stacey, i have boarder friends (only because they are lonely and i felt sorry for them.... i can't stop myself )
You'll have a great time, the hospitals really good in Samakov (see, its infectious....)
Nah, you enjoy... your in the mountains, it'll be a challenge that you will love... As for gear, as advised, loose preferably waterproof, good waterproof gloves etc... You will stay warm getting up all the time, and after a couple of days the linament on your bruises will act ...

It's the noise I hate....you know when a boarder speeds down on the piste behind you and their board scrapes along the snow. It always sounds like someone is about to come ploughing into the back of you - hate it!!!
Bum pad, waterproof gloves ( or cheap ones brushed with thompsons waterseal ) wrist supports, Waterproof trousers ( bum gets wet and you have to sit down in the snow to put your board on ) and jacket.
Gloggles optional, sunglasses just as good. heck who needs to see where there going.
Snowboarding is the coolest sport ever. Skiing is sooo last century done by people too fat to bend over and do up bindings ha ha ha
